Enno Hallek
Enno Hallek (born 1931) is a Swedish artist and professor. Hallek came to Sweden from Soviet-occupied Estonia as a refugee in 1943 along with the rest of his family.〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=Enno Hallek: Lexikonett amanda )〕 He got his education for Kungliga Konsthögskolan (the royal school of arts), and he had his first separate exhibition in 1963 at Konstnärshuset in Stockholm. He was a professor in arts at the Kungliga Konsthögsskolan between 1981 and 1991. Along with Åke Hallarp he designed the Stadions tunnelbanestation (the Stadium subway station in Stockholm).〔(Konsten – Närbild Enno Hallek ) Konsten.net Retrieved 8 August 2015〕 ==Early years== Hallek grew up in his hometown of Rohuküla, in Estonia where his father worked as a fisherman. The family fled the Soviet occupation of Estonia on the father's fishing trawler and made it to Torsö at Listerlandet in Blekinge. At Torsö the family settled and continued their fishing business. During the 1940s he took courses in drawing via correspondence, and after winning a drawing competition at school he got the opportunity to travel to Paris, France. Hallek moved to Stockholm in 1950 and started attending Signe Barths drawing and artist school. He in 1953 attended Kungliga Konsthögskolan for the next five years.〔
